Might well be a BMW E30, but the wheel isn't the correct BBS manufactured BMW alloy wheel.
The BBS have twist on centre caps, that wheel photo shows a hole for a retaining screw to hold the centre caps on....
really? I could of sworn both my E30 325 sports had the ones that push on, the twist on centre caps were on my E36 328 sport though... The BBS have twist on centre caps, that wheel photo shows a hole for a retaining screw to hold the centre caps on....
the twin exhaust would give away the 6cyl too...

I reckon the MGF/TF is a future classic IMO not a lover myself but the prices are rock bottom which means loads of abuse and lack of maintenance and they will just disappear
The sooner the better, to the disappear bit!I also fail to understand the hate for the poor little MGF.
Surely it's 'right' in terms of mid mounted engine driving the rear wheels, having only two seats and a roof that folds out of the way?
Aesthetically it's not to everyone's taste, but the early cars look good to me, at least.
Is it just the mechanical issues that put folk off? Surely there must be engineering solutions to bring some reliability to the marque by now? I'll be honest, and say that I have been put off buying one by the horror stories I hear, but TVR's were plagued by tales of chronic unreliability for years, both real and rumoured, yet they are much loved on PH. A properly sorted MGF would be a good bet for some pleasant summertime motoring for something resembling shed money, no?
Or am I a little naïve in my thinking, and the haters are correct, that all MGFs are hideously unreliable money pits with no redeeming features whatsoever?

I agree with you, there are some good MGFs around that have had the mechanical issues sorted. As for the TRV Tuscan my son had a new one for 7 Mths. In that time it had 2 new engines it was on holiday in Blackpool for 4 Mths. When the engine failed for the 3rd time he told to keep the heap of crap.He lost £7000 in 7Mths.So as for a MTF they are not to bad.Surely it's 'right' in terms of mid mounted engine driving the rear wheels, having only two seats and a roof that folds out of the way?
