How many other "working girls" could have gone missing without actually being reported because no one knows them? Highlights the extreme dangers these women go through.

IIRC there`s something like 3000 people reported missing in the UK annualy. 2600ish are later found......

The police are too busy with their speed cameras to worry about people dying, thee is no money there.

There is a town in Somerset or Bath and North East Somerset(for the very picky) which is called Midsomer Norton which is an old mining town. There are lots of strange people but not many murders! It's not a nice place.

Mind you, that's the only one out of 58 examples on Wikipedia, and they only killed prostitutes as a way of getting rid of them from their brothel once they no longer pulled in the punters!

Other than that, women serial killers seem to almost exclusively people within their care (children or patients) or husbands (generally for financial gain) and almost always by suffocation or poisoning.

.. there are also a couple of unsolved prostitute disappearances/ murders from a couple of years ago in the Ipswich area I believe....

also the red light district is around the football ground, which hosts loads of parties this time of year, heres hoping that he/ she doesn't decide to start on the party goers or staff...

All a bit odd really, add to that 3 people shot and one stabbed to death in Zest nightclub this week...

Some 15 or more years ago, a Bristol based prostitute was murdered and her body dumped at a rural location, just 2 miles from my home. Witnesses had reported seeing her being “picked up” by a driver in a white van, her body was found minus one shoe. Now at the time I owned and drove a white van, the police searched for her missing shoe at the edge of highways land that bordered on to my garden. I was so concerned at my wrongful arrest, that I contacted my solicitor for his home telephone number.
