Slippers rock! Or try slipper socks, thick woolly socks or ski socks.
absolutely necessary in my cottage, flagstone floors down stairs which are freezing cold and wooden floors upstairsThe 'indoor trainers' would go nicely with stripey leisurewear, imho.
Are cosy feet acceptable for a 30 year old? If so, get some of these from Draper of Glastonbury. They're so nice to have on your feet that you won't care whether anyone thinks they're cool or not, and so well made that they'll outlast most pairs of shoes. Mine are about 5-6 years old and I wear them whenever I'm in the house. They could do with some new insoles, but apart from that they're like new.

If you're gonna wear those I'd give up right now. You may as well get some of the speshul croc mammoth shoes instead.RobDickinson said:

Hi Rob.
OP, slippers are totally unacceptable before you are 40, and then only because my wife forced me to wear them...
That's why I am trying to disguise them to make them look like trainers! OP, slippers are totally unacceptable before you are 40, and then only because my wife forced me to wear them...
ETA: I'm sat next to one discarded slipper right now. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KITCHEN FLOOR - MOVE IT!!..... and they are voluntarily worn by a 23 year old, ergo, my arguement is upheld.

Mind you people dont care what your wearing or what you look like as much over here...
Slippers are WRONG, only your Dad wears slippers. But yes, M&S do some nice ones in furry burgundy. What next, men's handbags? It's a slippery slope...Mind you people dont care what your wearing or what you look like as much over here...
