Good lord, how sad. I didn’t know Ian apart from his posts on the forums, but he came across as a very nice chap. Condolences to his family and friends.

Unbelieveable. I never met Ian, but I can see from the countless tributes he's touched many lives.
Indeed, which makes it all the more confusing and hard to understand. But then again, I have never been able to get my head round the concept of taking one's one and only life.

Condolences to the family and all who knew & loved him.

The degree to which Ian has touched and brought pleasure to such a wide community of people through his company, conversation, postings and videos is a mark of the person he was. His family who he leaves behind can be justifiably proud of him.

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Ian, I like many others enjoyed his banter and have watched his entire cinematic output.

My thoughts go to his family and friends at this time as they come to terms with this tragedy.

RIP Ian.

Awful news. Like so many others, I never met Ian in person, but was looking forward to doing so when the chance arose.

Rest in peace Ian, and my heartfelt condolances to your family.

Terrible news. Never met the guy but knew he was a big part of the East Anglian PHers - always had a by the side of his threads too - didn't take himself too seriously which is a big plus ...

You never know though what goes through people's heads.

At first glance he would seem to have lead a life many would be envious of. It's a strange world isn't it?

RIP.

I did not know him, but feel so terribly sorry for his family and friends.

One can only wonder at how much turmoil the poor man must have been in, and pray that he is now at peace.

I am honoured to say that Ian and his wife Gussie have been great friends of mine since they moved to this area and we have enjoyed many a TVR blast along with many other PHers.

Ian was indeed a true gentleman and so very talented with his interest in video as we have all witnessed. A real family man - he was warm hearted and about as genuine a bloke as you could ever hope to meet.

This is so very, very sad and I am really going to miss him.

Our deepest condolences go out to Gussie and family.....

Sad news - condolences to family & friends.

I've enjoyed watching Ian's videos and reading many of his posts since joining PH. His death is our (and many others') loss.

Rest In Peace.
