Seem to last for about 25 secs or so here in Rothwell, Northants. I have felt tremors before, however this was definately the most violent.

Our entire office had a sway on and we thought we'd better get outside but it finished before we got down the stairs in Nottingham!

Had it here in Blackpool, was incredible. I was knelt on the floor writing on a DVD and the huge unit along the entire length of one wall which houses the TV, books, dvd's, etc and weighs an absolute ton and is almost impossible to move by hand was literally rocking, I thought it was going to fall on me.

I was playing poker and everything shook. Another player on the site was in Notts and I'm in north Yorks and we both felt it at the same time. yikes

That's my first one....very wierd sensation.

Aren't dogs supposed to go mad before an earthquake? Our's didn't even wake up! rolleyes

How many shake did everyone else get?

We had 2 small shakes and then a larger 3rd one, only lasting a couple of seconds. No loss of power or TV though.

Heard a rumble down south (Winchester), not sure I felt much though. A friend in Peterborough said it was pretty big there.
