Looks like Mr Fallows is covering his ass saying that. Regardless of being able to see the tyre deflate, instinct would take over and the natural thing to do would be hit the brakes. I know its not the same sort of accident but Ive seen several sportscar crashes occur due to tyres rapidly deflating at speed, some of these guys were professional drivers.

You may of heard about the crash on the A1 on Saturday. The YAA attended the crash and had to take the only survivor an 8yr old boy to hospital, he lost all his family, Mum dad and 2 brothers in the crash. I received this email from martin eede...

'You may have seen that we airlifted an 8 year old boy to hospital following an accident in which his parents and two brothers were killed. His physical injuries will heal but he is deeply shocked. He is refusing to let go of the teddy bear we give to all children we fly. YAA have had numerous enquiries from people who want to help in a practical way. Although we can't turn back the clock we have set up a fund which may contribute in some small way, enabling him and his family get over the trauma of today and even, at some point, look to the future.

I'm emailing you to ask two things:

1. Could you log onto www.justgiving.com/miraclefund and make a donation?

2. Could you forward this message to your friends and ask them to help?

This is the first time YAA has done such an appeal but our operations crew who flew the boy felt this was such an exceptional case we should do what we can to help.

Thank you.

Martin Eede’

If anyone can find a few pounds to help this child out it would be greatly appreciated

I read about this yesterday and had wondered if it was the YAA that had picked him up. This just breaks my heart...
