Tallbloke posting from YAA control.
It's fantastic up here, the guys have had me sat in the heli and showed me round the controls and the medi station in the back, lots of pics to post later. I'll do a small photo journal as a seperate thread. Sat having a cuppa now on one of their spare PC's to post this.

Nice to know you're having fun while some of us are working...um okay, pretending to work.
I've wondered how the YAA come to have a yellow helicopter when others are green, red or orange. Anything significant in it?

I'm not sure. Besides, once again I felt compelled to comment.
I should stop, really.
Well, they displayed my comment, albeit abbreviated almost to the point of uselessness. Still, what they left out tells me more than what they left in...
Still, I've seen my name in print and can now rest easy.
(joke.)
At least yours made it up! I replied when there were no other comments, I guess they didn't like my pro-Top Gear reply. So much for free speech! I merely stated that perhaps the fact that Hammie's okay just proves how much Health and safety was in place and that the new series has to be suspended as the links are filmed on the Weds before. I'll try to catch Inside Out but am working late.
If they get a chopper in S Yorks where would it be based? I'm wondering if there would be a strategic benefit from locating it at the same place as the police chopper (Sheffield Airport or thereabouts I believe). If the new chopper is the same model as the old one then it'll also be the same spec as SY99 - possible reduced maintenance costs?

As much as I disagree with Mr Hari's comments, is this the right thread to be discussing them. I thought this was supposed to be about Hampster getting better.
Thanks, you're spot on.
Richard, Keep up the good work.
PS have you tried strapping some fire extinguishers to your hospital bed, and racing to the nurses station yet
Oh and what happens if you stick a CD into an MRI scanner? I bet it makes a bigger bang than in a microwave !!!!

stuff like this is much more likely to cause your kids to injure or kill themselves!

I'm glad TG have already done the feature with Parkour (it's on YT, for anyone who's interested). Fantastic stuff, and something which appeals to me easily as much as motoring.

(Boring answer: probably not very much, assuming it hasn't got a ferromagnetic substrate. They are supposed to be safe to go inside, you know!)
Appreciate the sentiment, though
