Are you sure you didn't accidentally swallow a golf ball?
hehe

Had it for tee!
Then felt below par?
stop it laugh
I bet he's worried they'll slice him if he swings by into A&E.
Bunker mentality yes
Not being able to eat sounds like a severe handicap.

Is there an A & E within reasonable driving range?
The surgeons has probably seen a lump like it before, but he's never had a hole in one.

Putt this into perspective, it is a fairway to go for a lump. Wood you prefer to iron it out yourself? I hope the surgeon doesn't slice it! getmecoat

Does the lump appear when you eat a sand wedge?

Interesting stuff
How fascinating...! I read that with great interest, how weird and extraordinary. I'll bet you were massively relieved it was something 'relatively' easy to fix.

I thought reading through it that your demonstrations weren't going to work- how satisfying that they did.

Talking of lumps and bumps, has anyone ever seen that bloke that walks on the Kings Road (London) from time to time with a second head growing out of his neck? (Not kidding by the way).
I desperately wanted to impress the doctor with the bizarre sight of a giant lump swelling on my face in seconds, and on demand!

In order to empty my mind as described in my earlier post, I recalled the scene at the end of an amazing film I saw years earlier called "Village of the Damned",1960, in which a professor teaching the weird alien children of the plot had decided to blow them all up along with himself in order rid the world of their kind before they spread. But they were all telepathic and able to read his mind. So he had to try every mental trick in the book to 'block' his thoughts and think of anything but the bomb.

It was about that difficult for me to not think of the chocolate I was going to use to trigger the instant saliva explosion !

The film summary of the event is in the last paragraph under 'synopsis' here :-

As an aside, has anyone else made the mistake of going food shopping when really hungry, and salivating a lot at various things on display ? Before now, I’ve actually grabbed a pork-pie off the shelves and eaten it on the spot, followed by a bar of Cadburys Chocolate … You get some odd looks doing that in the frozen food isle !

Do you have an NHS drop in service you could go to?

ETA I see you are in London - there is one in Soho. Staffed by nurses but they are pretty good and sorted me right out when I suddenly went deaf in one ear.
That was a brothel

Er, no, not really. In fact never. Never ever.
