I notice this is on tomorrow night and haven't ever seen it. Is it any good? I seem to recall it's a bit of a cult movie that you must see?

Utterly, utterly Wicked film with a capital 'F'.

Might be an early Spielberg but he was as good at making a gripping film at the start as he is now.

Watch it.

I didn't think it would be able to hold my attention for 90 mins (?) but the gripping psychological suspense had me totally absorbed in this film.

His first feature film, only one visible main character and it's fantastic!

I must have seen this film half a dozen times and I can honestly say I've enjoyed it each time.

Good stuff.

Also (bought and) watched Christine recently. I was very surprised at how well it stood the test of time. Possibly John Carpenter finest moment.

Although it may be an acquired taste, John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 is one of my favourites.....

Great film - even for people who don't like cars. Very unique take on the psychological horror.

Talking of car films, did anyone see Tucker - The Man And His Dream last night? Excellent film about Preston Tucker, who designed a car so good (the Tucker Torpedo), and so ahead of it's time (we're talking an all-American Citroen DS-basher 10 years before Citroen did it) that it scared the hell out of Ford, Chrysler and GM, who did their best to shaft the company to prevent them becoming the 'big four'. Great if you like classic cars and it had one hell of a lot to say about the inherent backwardness of American mass industry.

I bought Duel on DVD from Amazon recently, it's got an excellent documentary with Speilberg included too. You've got to get it from America though as there is no Uk release at the mo'. Well worth it though.

Am I the only one who thought that a car should be able to get away from a truck? I was nearly throwing things at the telly by the end of it, the guy made more stupid decisions than a labour MP
