Title pretty much says it all

Being a computer programmer ive been used to turning up to work in whatever I feel like, whilst not stooping to the lows of my workmates 'jesus is my homeboy' shirt.

So yeah, im just planning to wear world standard white shirt no.1, tie and regular black trousers with shiny shoes. They arent going to throw me out the door because im not sporting 's finest are they?

Man what a lame topic. Lets spice it up with some options for shirts I could get to wear to work... (most people will find something offensive on the site warning)

Should be ok with shirt tie and smart trousers, try and not to combine it with an anorak or you run the risk of looking like a schoolboy.

Failing that nip into town and buy a suit early on, worst case if you are totally brassik try your local 24 hour supermarket which sometimes have cheap suits.

If you have shaved since Saturday, you sound like you will look better dressed than the head of my Co.'s IT department.

LC,

Remember you asking for advice on your current job, and I told you to get the money and absolutely everything in writing???

I did not follow my own recommendations.

I saw. This new position looks much more promising for me if i can land it. Much more money, proper large corporation, training, less of a commute, get to live nearer a nice city...

Turn up in a Red Dwarf T-Shirt, grey drainpipe jeans, High-Tec league basketball boots (tongues flapping), unkempt, unshaven and with a jet-black ponytail down to your arse.

They'll hire you on the spot.

I turned up in my walking boots after changing into my classy asda shirt and tie on the way over there

The boots didnt really polish up so well but in the interview i managed to make a little quip about how my current work shares access with a farm, 'which is why im here in boots today!' har har har.

All in all it went very well, theyve got one more person to interview today but they say that they are very impressed and that im just the sort of person they are looking for. Fingers and toes are definately crossed.

hope hope hope. If i get this it will be the 'never have to worry where the money for the next bill is coming from' point in my life, which is basically all ive ever wanted.
