Shooting a Scotsman

Just read an article in a newspaper which reviews a newly published book which is a collection of interesting but not very useful facts.

Except for a few it seem.

Apparently it is legal to shoot a Scotsman in York but only at night and if they are within the City walls.

Now, iirc, there is a certain Scot who has some significant interests connected with York and possibly visits on a regular basis.

So come on all you folk in York - seek this person out and do your public duty.

IIRC there is also another law that requires you to shoot a scotsman on sight. And doesn't our national anthem incude a bit about killing Scotsmen?

Glad I'm only 16th Scottish, incase this sort of behavoir is encouraged!
