Not sure if this is the right place to post this? But went to see it at the cinema tonight, and its tag line of "coolest film of the year" seems well founded.

I wont say too much, but its very good, although not knowing anything about the comics probably means I didnt understand everything that was going on properly

Just saw it. Totally cool film, really enjoyed it..... Didn't you think the yellow man looked like Quark the Ferengi in Star Trek? I'll never be able to look at him the same way.

well, i am a huge fan of the comics, possibly the biggest. fan. ever >comic book guy mode enabled<

and i can tell you it was utterly perfect, in every detail. like watching the comic come to life. some of the devices they use to create the verisimilitude are simply staggering too, there were many many frames that were exact replicas of frames in the book. i loved it.

seriously, i may well go again tommorow. havent done that since i was about 8.

It is a fantastic, and very original film.

My only criticism was that the story with Marv (big ugly bloke) was so awesome and fast paced the rest of the film didn't really keep up to the same standard.

Still my favourite film of the year so far (and I watched it 2 months ago!!)

thats cos it was three books merged into one: that yellow bastard, the big fat kill, and a dame to kill for. the stories are so uni-directional and fast paced that i guess it made sense to blend the three books, but youre right, the seams did show a little.

that said, it was staggering. for those of you that havent read the source material, go buy the books already. even if you dont like the narrative or the style of writing, each frame of each page is so outstanding and unique that its worth the price of purchase alone. in short, if you dont like them, youre wrong.

Hi Nerv,

Another big fan here too, and was utterly astonished at how they'd recreated some of the frames.

Pure magic.

Not seen it, and won't be able to until it comes out on DVD (not my wife's type of film)

But my 16 year old sister has seen it and thinks it is the greatest film of all time, I think she may have violent tastes.

She has just had her tongue pierced as well
