Tragedy in London
Discussion
This terror thing sucks, and the attack yesterday was in my eyes just stupid. The G8 meeting was finally focused on something good and it can't be in anyones interest to stop the riches countries helping africa...
I now a little about the feeling you brits must have at the moment, last year when the bombs were detonated in Madrid it was three days before me and my class were going there on a trip with school, so everyone was shocked and alot of persons didn't want to go. Those days the terrorist really got a hold on us. Luckily we went to Spain all of us, and it turned out to be a great trip. It was absolutely beautiful to see the entire city being bound together in a strange way by this act, everyone was hanging flags out the window saying "Pace" (peace in italian) or big yellow flags with black loops on them to signify the sadness of the people who were affected. And that proved the fact that the objective for terrorists is to spread fear, and that is the only thing we must not feel, even though it's a pretty obvious feeling in the situation. If we start to fear and obey the terrorists they win.
I am very sad about the attack in london and it just shows how silly this world is becoming.

Thanks for the comments zenkar and e t s (I assumed you were from a different country e t s, am I right?, thanks for the comment all the same).
I really think the terrorists picked a sick day to hit London, with the winning of the olympic bid, the G8 meeting and so on. I think they did affect the verdict of the G8 as they came out with a much less decisive conclusion with the absense of tony blair, as I think he and some of the other leaders were very much for even more change.
I agree with you all who read this page and have posted on it with the same question that is bugging me: "why?"
It really brings to home what it must feel like for people living in Iraq and things as they are "hit" weekly. I will sympathise even more now with them as I know a few people (including me dad) who were in London at the time but were not in the trains, just near them.
