Old Skool Dance tracks we loved and lost..

[M@H]

Instead of spoiling Plotless's thread how about some remeniscence to the days when music seemed "better" somehow.. warehouses in Plymouth pulsed to the strange new music in the middle of the night.. we wore Troop trainers and hooded tops.. most of the lighting was just UV strips and strobes.. we're in 1990-1991 before the Criminal Justice act put paid to the fun.

Starters for 10:

Oceanic - Take Me to insanity.
Playing with Knives (was it Bizarre inc)

how about, K-Klass "Rhythm Is A Mystery"
or,
Baby D "Let Me Be Your Fantasy"

[t1grm]

Anyone got that Rave Nation compilation that came out a while back? That has most of the classics on it.

[egomeister]

Slightly O/T - has anyone else bought the Moondance cd mixed by Slipmatt? - some awesome tunes on there...

Saw him DJ a while back, best night out I have had for a long long time. Why don't they make dance music like that any more, so much variety all mixed together.

On the more handbag side, 'So in love with you' by Duke was great, as was one of the remixes of 'Two can play that game' by Bobby Brown.

Prepares for the mother of all flamings for the Bobby Brown mention

Would i appear to be a completely cheesy bastard if i said i loved 'Corona - Rhythm of the Night'?

I'm not even sure it fits in the dance catagory, more pop, but it's been on iTunes as a pre-club (cheese night ) tune for a few weeks now

Cheers,
Rob.
