The opening ceremony is currently on BBC2.

Will anybody else be watching these games or as we're generally poor at snow fun in the UK, is anyone that interested?

Personally, I enjoy watching the bobsleigh and the luge as its fast and dangerous looking.

And the ski jumping can get me hooked.

Yep I'll be taking a look. It makes it more interesting when there's a brit competing, the commentators bigging our guys up then watching them come last. Oh well, maybe our cleaners will do well in the curling again?

Finlay Mikel and Alan Baxter can challenge on their day, and all the big ski countries are restricted to something like 4 starters, which should give the smaller teams a bit more of chance.

But far more importantly, tomorrow night Top Gear have their own Winter Olympics, pitting man against machine on snow...fun!

I saw them all troop out country by country, and thought that if they sang a song as they did so, they could have got the Eurovision Song Contest out of the way fairly painlessly at the same time.
