That is the best news I've heard of in a long time.

Brilliant.

That's fantastic!

I must confess I was expecting protracted fannying around, hand-wringing, etc. and then a bit on the news saying he'd been executed. I'm overjoyed to have been proved wrong on that.

Oh, that is truly great news.

Bet it was Skellern's team, door blown, sten guns coughing death, our man, out.

Tip to Normski: next time, stick to the geraniums, good lad.

He's friends with the family of one of my best mates. I've never met him but they were all expecting the worst.

Relief all round

Wouldn't occur to the fkwits to thank the military who actually freed him, would it?

Norman Kember freed

We are delighted with the news that Norman Kember and his two Christian Peacemaker colleagues are now free. We mourn the loss of Tom Fox who was recently killed. Our thoughts are with his family. Our thanks to all those who organised vigils, events and prayers to work for their release, and to our colleague Anas Altikriti from the Muslim Association of Britain, who went to Iraq to try and help secure their freedom.

Ungrateful B'stards.

Presumably the Muslim Council of Britain had a highly-trained snatch squad ready to go at a minute's notice when the hostages location was pinpointed....err no.

Apparently the Yanks got the info on the location, it was then left to B Squadron 22 SAS to do the door-knocking

A top result and not a shot was fired.

Don't they understand that the whole country doesn't want Christianity rammed down their throats. They sign a disclaimer when they go in there that if they're captured the UK Government will not rescue them.

Given the old geezers attitude they should have rescued the two Canadians and left him there.

Why didn't he want to fly direct back to the UK on the military flight.? Perhaps he wants the media attention when he arrives back in T4 so he can preach the word there.

You're right. The glazed eyes and mooney face say it all.
