Not mine, but similar by all accounts.

If the bloke aged 20 years in 10 months - then it is probably very similar!

So you started building your house aged 10?

Martin.

Wasn't the best GD I've seen, the "loch" was a man made fishing loch that could be drained on demand (what happened to the fish when they did?) and all they did was throw money at it, no design, fiscal or timeline challenges.
It also ended up looking like a showhouse rather than a home. They bought EVERYTHING new and didn't take anything from their previous homes which struck me as weird.

Not the best IMO. Spending far too much money on pointless item (£20,000+ for lighting and £3,000 for light shade)

But the view is stunning tho (not the house).

With 400 lights, I guess you could guarantee there would be one or two not working at any one time.

Showhome, yes, character, um... With two kids and another on the way, you would have thought they would have put some effort into something their children could enjoy.

Still, it's good to see people putting some real thought into the design of their home, even if it's not to my taste (or Kevin McCloud's, if the veiled comments were anything to go by).

I don't think it was their taste either - more the local planners. It didn't turn out so bad though.

Can't help wondering what the guy did for a living, considering he had time to be on site EVERY day, yet threw money around like confetti.

Thos floating glass stairs with a baby are going to be interesting. I can't help thinking they may not have thought that one through completely. But then they seemed happy to bring up their kids in splendid isolation, so maybe their thinking was a bit on the selfish side all round.

Wifey was quite fit though, in a slightly hard faced Glaswegian sort of way .....

....well, up to the point where they announced she was up the stick. Why do people on GD and other property programs feel the need to go out of their way to display their fecundity?

Has there ever been a woman on GD that was not pregnant? I thought it was compulsory.

they are creating a "nest" so just after they move in shes up the duff, getting ready to populate the aforementioned nest.
