Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue say the Harrier came down on the A4260 near Kidlington. Pilot ejected safely.

Pictures on Sky News soon.

We had a Harrier display here at Farnborough earlier this afternoon. I wonder was it the same one?

Doh - with all my thoughts about RIAT, I clean forgot about Farnborough.

Turns out it was heading for static display at Fairford according to the BBC. And it hit a car on crashing (although the driver's not seriously hurt).

Can you imagine the insurance claim?

GR9 crashed at 17:00ish near Kidlington.

The aircraft was flying from Cottesmore to Fairford for the Royal International airshow (RIAT).

Everyone OK apparently.
