As a 'newby' I'll keep it short and sweet. There is no outstanding personality worthy of winning the prize of 'Sports Personality of the year 2006' I therefore urge you all to phone up and nominate Richard Hammond for this years trophy. Especially as the competition is being run by the BBC and the fact that they may cancel Top Gear. What better way to show them up.
Regards to all.
Jeff.

VERY good nomination yes A man who has had to deal with so much, and still has the pride, passion and downright balls to come out and play for his continent and fans alike.

Sports Personality of the year is for athletes.

Richard Hammond is not an athlete.

I think Vixpy should win it for his deserved victory in the London wankathon.

I agree. I do not think anyone is more deserving this year.

Jenson Button for finally winning a grand prix deserves it more than hamster, at least he kept his car on the black stuff.

A one off victory, well done to him, but hardly deserving of "Sports Personality of the Year" is it?!

Or Lewis Hamilton. But having seen the courage over the weekend, Mr Clarke would be getting my nod....

Great 1st post.

Darren Clarke would get my vote though if its for no other reason than Hamster isn't a sportsman.
