Which pier, there are 3? there's one right next to North Pier, not sure how nice it is though.

Do you want a cheap nice B&B or a posh hotel? If you want cheap and nice then i can recommend my borther in law's place- the Richley Hotel on Hornby Road (behind the Sealife Centre). With the added bonus that he used to work for Williams Touring Car team!

If you want posh then go for the Imperial or the Savoy. I've heard complaints about the Hilton so I'd probably avoid it if I were you.

If you have a particular one in mind I can grab a leaflet or details during the day as I drive past most of them at least once a day!

Yeah, that's the Savoy. To be honest you're best off with a nice B&B rather than spending a shed load of dosh so you can walk around a posh foyer talking on your mobile. After all, what are you going to do other than sleep?. But, yer pays yer money............

Whatever you do DO NOT stay in the Dunoon even if they offer to pay you... We christened it the Run Doon for obvious reasons, one of which was the plastic undersheets yikes

An episode of Rab C Nesbitt was filmed outside it after we stayed, nuff said yes

I just stayed at a Haven holiday camp in Wales like that. Left after two nights, which was a shame as I'd paid for seven.

I stayed in the Hilton a short while ago with my folks, after we couldn't get into the Metropole.

It looks a little dingy on the outside, but I was really, really impressed when we got in. Buffet dinner that was excellent. Highly recommend it to anyone.

All the other hotels look like doss houses to be honest.

There's over a thousand hotels in Blackpool- you looked at every one?! I'm was born and bred in a posh part of the Thames Valley but now live up here- and I wouldn't go back down south if you paid me. Don't judge the town on one street.

Besides, this is where TVR's are made, so it can't be all bad!

The north end appears to have the nicer hotels from the outside but have never stayed over. The further south you get the more run down B+Bs there seem to be and then it turns into the holiday camp which looks very run down!!

I didn't mean to offend, I just meant from what I saw along the sea front most of them seemed to be dives. I mean they just looked really bad.

No offence taken- it IS run down, because everybody holidays abroad now. It needs a massive injection of cash and it's increasingly looking like it's going to get it.
It's still the most popular holiday dstination in Britain- warts and all.

I paid 120 quid to stay in the Imperial for one night, and it was the most shabby, run down old hotel I've been in - the place is relying on it's perceived stature.

The guests taking pictures of the dining room, what's all that about? confused

I agree with this Kev... stay North of the tower! It's quieter and better. the trams outside are frequent wherever you stay.....
