I am a defendant in a civil legal case.

I am defending myself.

I need to find out if there have been any legal precedents set about director liability on a certain issue. I am well aware of the wrongful trading laws that would leave a director open to personal prosecution but this is on a different matter.

Is there a database as such that I can search for precedents?

I obviously can't go into too much detail here but any help you can offer will be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Quite a few ..wide areas.. this could cover, however don't know if you could be any more specific as to exactly what the issue is? I was thinking it was likely to be Fid duties too Tonker.

Without going into too much detail, it is case involving a company who has one managing director, who is personally being sued as the controlling mind of the company, who in turn is being sued for a rights infringement.

A controlling mind can certainly be joined in litigation.

I see what you are saying ZOD, but that is Austrailian Law, surely there will be differences in English Law.

Would it not shatter the ethos behind Limited Companies? Where would Companies House stand with the basis of the LTD. company ruling?
