Pussy problems
Discussion
I live in an apartment bloc with a communual garage on the ground floor where I park my Chim.
I normally cover the Chim with a car cover but sometimes when I need the car later in the day or if it is wet I leave the cover off.
Now every time I leave the cover off some nasty big long haired white cat with ginger patches decides to walk all over the car leaving big dirty paw prints all over and leaving long white hairs all over the roof (especially when I just cleaned it !!).
I do not particular like cats (I am a dog man) but I must admit that this rotten thing has as least taste as there are an Aston, a Porker, several Beemers and Mercs parked there but it seems to prefers TVR's only.
My question is what do I do about this fecking cat, I do not know who owns the basterd as it seems to come from 'somewhere' in the neighbourhood as nobody in the flats owns cats.
Advice please.

It's battery powered - keep it high up (to prevent it being nicked) but aimed at your car. They do work. I have one at home and it keeps the moggies off.

A cat with taste, obviously ... Pepper is meant to be a good deterrent for cats. Never tried it myself, but try sprinkling some pepper over the roof of the car. May sound daft - may actually be daft and not work at all, but worth a try.
Don't hurt the cat, whatever you do.
Oli.

But it is a communial garage don't want to upset the neighbours with any alarms or sounds when they are moving about in it.
Yep it's a year round problem I'm afraid, the body stays cooler than steel cars in the summer and doesn't get as cold in the winter and a pussy prefers these conditions.
You can get some pellets that are meant to deter cats, smell like cats pi55 or somein that stops them invading other cats territory, down side is your car might end up smelling like a panther has dashed over it.

Does n't sound like a good option to me but thanks anyway for your smelly contribution.

You could try shoving a cardboard box with a few rags/blankets in it somewhere near your car - cats are stubborn buggers and you'll only really shift him if there's a nicer alternative nearby.
Super soaker may work but then again may not, the local tomcat honestly doesn't seem to care.

Ahhh, but the box will need to be up high - hence why he is sitting on the roof!Super soaker may work but then again may not, the local tomcat honestly doesn't seem to care.
nothing rids them , ive lived with cat problems for 8 years now in 2 different houses.
ive tried the pepper, oranges, cat deterent and now when one strolls into my garden, the black widow catapult takes aim with a stone or two. never hit one yet!
my mate had a problem with one coming into his kitchen and eating his 2 cats meals so he started stroking it and getting it used to him, then one day he picked it up, put it in his cat box and drove 50 miles and let it take a holiday in the middle of nowhere.
thats the best way , ive not been able to catch my offending ones yet but this will come to them.

Hmm, I like where you're going with this. Once he's captured the vermin, should he set fire to the box or take it to the canal ?

It is not a canal, we are next to a small stream called the Wye.
