Interestingly, from the radio it sounded like he worked for Porsche or an OPC, as he took the car from his work without permission...

Having done 178 on a runway in a porker, you certainly dont want to do that speed in a country lane.

Cant imagine anywhere it would be flat enough or enough visability both forward and sideways so not to endanger other road users. Maybee a m-way or duel carriage but a country lane!

It wasn't that bloody bright yellow thing that's been terrorising country roads around Berks/S. Oxon lately was it? A yellow porche shaped blur came roaring through our village the other afternoon.

172mph?! That can't be right. Most country lanes are too narrow and don't have long enough straights to pick up that kind of speed.
