On Wednesday I opened the fridge to find my milk had turned to cheese. Checking the mains power supply and finding it to be fine, I called in an electrician for a professional diagnosis. Yes- my fridge had packed up. I went promptly to Dixons and subsequently purchased a LEC unit to cure my woes. Thankfully I now have access to chilled milk and other dairy products once again and am not unduly traumatised.I am sure you can imagine my disappointment, however, on tuning in to Top Gear on the following Sunday when I discovered they made no mention ,whatsoever, of the plight I faced in the previous week- even though I obviously own a TVR! Have any other owners ecountered such offhanded treatment by this obviously biased "motoring show" ? Bloody Disgrace!

I'll have you know that I'm drinking Foster's and copious amounts of it! It's how I cope!

I sympathise with your plight. In the last two weeks, someone has rear ended my Griff and if that wasn't enough, the washing machine is making a funny grindy noise, the dishwasher has packed in and my old Merc is terminally ill (and it's only done 190,000 miles). Top Gear just weren't interested. Pass the bottle. beer

Well I got a spotted today.

Sadly, it was from 8 days ago and was in the form of a NIP

Sod the Fosters; it's strong ale followed by even stronger Islay malt.

Oh, this will make 9 pts. Miss Daisy doesn't half drive fast....

Well last night my fridge was all warm inside and on looking for the source of the problem I discovered that I had stood on the cable and pulled the plug out of the socket. Accordingly I restored the power and the fridge got cold again and in any case it hadn't been off long enough for the milk to go manky, so everything was all right. And it was all a dream anyway.

The obvious moral of the story is not to rely on Top Gear for anything other than laughs.

Rank amateurs! Anyone who has experienced the communal fridges in uni halls knows full well that perfectly adequate refridgeration can be obtained during the winter months by placing any perishables in a carrier bag and hanging them out of the window. Release the pikey within!

i bought a LEC fridge freezer just after i moved into my flat, its not missed a beat in the 16 years i've had it, and i blame top gear for me not accidentally unplugging it!
