Police beating.

Is this a case of the police doing their job to restrain an out of control woman, or are we witnessing a Rodney King occurance of police brutality?
The usual suspects are coming out of the woodwork shouting racism etc... and the media is feeding on it like there is no tomorrow.
The woman in question clearly looks as rough as hell and her father is called Leroy.Ideally that would be enough in itself to deserve a good hiding.
(only joking folks)
But seriously, would this have hit the headlines if the person restrained was white?
I am sure that a lot of people experience some sort of police heavy handedness when they're acting like prats in public and making a nuisance of themselves.
Where do you draw the line between reasonable force and excessive force? and is line movable forward or backward because of the colour of your skin?

I think it's only got the media coverage it has because she was a) black and b) a woman.
She's now trying to blame her epilepsy on why she may have looked like she was lashing out
And she now wants compensation from the police
Here's a little tip love : Leave other people's property alone. Don't go around vandalising cars and maybe, just maybe you won't get a punch in the head from a policeman.

She's trying it on.
Resisting arrest? Apparently trying to grab the copper's meat and 2 veg? He's already admitted to hitting her as hard as he could several times, and trying to give her a dead arm so he coule put the cuffs on. Good man.
Lucky the police got her before the owner of the car she damaged.

I can't see the colour of her skin makes any diffrence here at all.
The fotage appears to show the copper repeatedly punching her. The copper says "resonable force to restrain her".
It does appear very heavy handed though, half a dozen coppers holding her down & said copper throwing wild punches.
I sure that she will now say that her race was a factor & make a tidy profit.

hey hey, steady on with the common sense there! that was outlawed by our political masters under the Behave Like A Pillock Act 1998, which was subsequently followed by the Absolving Personal Resposibilities Act 2002.
I'm not sure a nightclub is the best place to be if you have epilepsy is it?
I don't know the facts but would imagine from the reporting so far today that she's not a particularly civilised person and had lashed out at the Police who were having some trouble restraining her.
It's just annoying that the media froth this up to be something it's not. Mind you, "drunken old slapper spends night in cells for vandalism" wouldn't sell many newspapers I guess.

Good point, and well said.I actually forgot to add the gender factor in my 1st post.
Idiots like that think they have the God given right to vandalise property and no one should touch them.

If she didn't give cause to be arrested none of this would ever have happened.
IMO it's this kind of nonsense, backed up by the PC brigade that is leading to the errosion of our society. She was in the wrong and wants money for that? I'd have said differently if the police were giving her a hiding out of all proportion, but from what I see they were doing enough to restrain her.

Epilepsy my arse. A person undergoing an epileptic episode and a person attempting to get out of a hold are two completely different dynamics.
As far as punching her 5 times, the copper says he did it to deaden her arm, so i assume he wasnt smashing her in the face then.
If this is a recognised procedure then fine, no probs.
Even if not, it seems a reasonable thing to do when all else has failed.

stupid f*cking woman, deserved everything she got.
Funnily enough, ive never been arrested or damaged property etc etc and ive also never had to be forcefully restrained by the police! is that a coincidence? i think not.
like somebody else said above, Im glad it wasnt my car the stupid slag damaged!

We should have a collection to buy that policeman a present.
This is what every Pistonhead wants, the police to act against the feral low lifes who go round damaging our hard earned P&Js for fun.
I have lost count of the number of threads from people who have had their cars vandalised and who are complaining about the lack of police action.
Once again the press have got it wrong. They should be devoting their pages to vilifying this low life and praising the policeman.
