As above,

Anyone know where these units are in stock, I, like 100,000 other people, have been tasked to obtain a Chrimbo Pressie.....

You'd be lucky, trying to get one for my mum as a surprise present but cant find one for love nor money.

Well thats not strictly accurate, there are unscupulous traders selling them through amazon, play.com and the like for £250 a pop. Feck that for something that is supposed to retail at £99

There was a thread about this last week here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

At the time I said that my colleague had ordered one of the Debenhams website (as they were in stock with a 1-2 week delivery) He's just called them for an update, only to find they have none, and aren't expecting any til March!

as of wednesday last week, Game in Wellingborough were re-stocking daily. We bought ours for list price there no problems

However, I wonder howe many of the people selling them for £200 plus are employees of such shops buying up stock as soon as they come in and slapping them on Ebay?

Jas I just found that argos have a text alert service.

You text the catalog number along with your local stores ID code and it checks the stock, messages you, you then reply YES and it texts you as soon as they get stock. You then reply to that text saying RESERVE and it holds one for you for 24 hrs.

That sounds rather flash, certainly a good back up plan if they get the stock in. Will call them tomorrow to see how it works !!

I bought some from www.gadget-asia.com. Came very quickly when using the Fed Ex option ( Around 90-100 quid + 20 for the courier)

They are saying that no guarantee for Xmas if ordered after 14/12 when using fedex

I have no idea what a 'DS-Lite' is. It might be a studio flash system, or possibly a soft drink. Although judging from the replies so far, it's this year's electronic must-have with buttons you press and hedgehogs jump about.

Does that make me middle aged?

Are you sure? Because despite showing in stock, in the past two weeks their delivery time has gone from 16 weeks to 20 weeks.
