The more gobsmacking the better really. Already got radio, newspaper and promo cards sorted out.

Is it possible to have a skytorch thing like the Batman logo? Or bluetooth units that drop a message onto every buggers mobile phone in bars or from a flyover as they drive into town?

What about banners from aeroplanes or lighting a dark alleyway with our logo? What happened to that idea someone had to clean areas of the pavement to leave only the logo?

What sort of stuff is possible these days? biggrin

Base jump off buckingham palace or Big Ben scratchchin

Or some infiltration of a government building/public monument that will get you in the papers or an attack on the Thames. Depends what you're trying to advertise and where specifically as my London suggestions could be useless tongue out

Scantily clad ladies/men with mobiles outside the nightclub phoneing taxis for people leaving. Obviously with your company logo/phone number on their outfits.

edit: Suggestion from the Mrs. Just use body paint with the number on the ladies...err...boobies?

Actually... getting a few fitties together for frshers week was a good move - basically cajoling everyone into deleting all the taxi numbers and saving our one for free sweeties smile

This has been used by a few places in and around Manchester and it is quite effective BUT you can only reach the people who have their Bluetooth connection switched on (obviously!).

Some chemical that stains/kills grass + midnight trip to Wembley on Friday should get you mega-coverage on the weekend.

Yeah that'll do. Hasn't got to be 100% penetration. Most students have bluetooth on anyway because of the random funny stuff people send out in pubs. I do anyway.

I just think the more we get the number out and stuff the better really, it's only gonna help build our brand cool

If we can get the number straight into their phone that's even better biggrin

If students represent an opportunity then maybe dedicate one car, x nights a month, randomly, to be a special car. The journey is free, you serve bar snacks, maybe offer complimentary hangover cures or bottles of OJ/water or even kebabs (tie up with the local kebab shop). Use that as a focus for your student marketing. Bit of PR required to kickstart the campaign.

Massive posters/banners attached to a scaffolded prominent building are OK - Quite expensive to set up, they are produced on an equally large digital printer. I'm thinking 10MX10M at least.

Similarly, the stuff that dyes the grass at the roadside in a similar way to the sports ground advertising.

Plant local roundabouts with flowers spelling your company name.
If there's a big local park, slip the greens keeper a few bob and get him to mow it into the lawns.
Clean the floor around the local taxi ranks, but so it leaves your number. That should get all the people waiting and getting fed up in the queue looking your way.

I can build you a 2D flash driving game in which you have to give rides to hookers and drunks, like crazy taxi (only it'll be crap, compared hehe)

Or leaflets no one will forget. Any caption comp suggestions for a taxi firm biggrin

Does anyone know anything about either of these? There are several roundabouts and big buildings around - Canterbury Cathedral for one hehe

'If only you'd got in the cab with the mrs 3 hours ago...'

rofl

It'd be quite cool to get the flash game onto a mobile via bluetooth!
