As far as Im concerned, if you cant get your st together to make your website work like its supposed to, the least you can do is offer instructions on how to set your web browser to give the site the help it so
obviously needs!

rage

It's not website feedback and its not in the computer forums because all the people over there already know how do it so other people wont benefit from its contents.

So, this thread is a nice spot where IT types can help us less binary-proficient baffoons to set our browsers so that we can view PH contributer content properly. Please. That would be great. I use explorer and for some unknown reason, the google tabbed browsing function. I know its poo but its not my machine.

Why do I get the feeling this unlikely to be stickied....

Yeah all well and good on my laptop at home etc... about as much use as a chocolate firegaurd at work where the PCs are locked down.

Rarely have problems, unless CONTRIBUTORS cock their formatting up - eg pictures too big, too many smilies, too many punctuation marks at a time hehe

TBH I use Firefox by default but personally find the forums run a lot better in IE (neither set up to block ads) although I have no idea why.

Oh for gods sake, if you don't like it, f*** off to chew-the-fat.com with all the other toffs! rolleyes

Advertising pays for sites like these to exist, unless you fancy paying a subscription of course. However I do agree that advertising should just complement the user experience, and be targeted to that of the sites users - not on the basis of high PPCs etc.

Helpful. The web site doesn't work properly, so its the toffs fault, and the proles are happy to live with second best. Dinosaur.

Worst Im jumping on the tell people to "F-off to CTF" bandwagon post ever.

Yes, because anyone who has an issue with an aspect of this site should immediately go there.

banghead

Your second paragraph confirms the reason for this thread and nullifies the first part of your post. Ergo - youre an idiot.

since changing to the "blue" profile its speeded up no end as it no longer has to wait for ad content to be loaded.

oh and if you can do better why aren't you running PH?
