Apologies, but I appear to have lost the original thread (ok, I've been drinking).

So.

Recently single (again, perhaps this should tell me something). Spend an awful lot of my time away from home, so no real chance to meet people.

D'you reckon I should sign up to an online thing for a laugh.

I was thinking of using this photo;

I throw it open to the floor.

You utter bastard.

(Genius, I love it).

I was going for;
Bunny boy seeks love. Actually, I don't appear to live in the country right now, so really don't date me. I wouldn't date me and I am me.

You look slightly jaundiced, is that a bit drunk as in: impending liver failure?

If I recally correctly, that pic was taken on a very crappy camera and it was a couple of days after I spend a day in the sun at Thruxton watching the BTCC cars hammer round.

I'm usually a more normal colour than that.

Dont even think about doing online dating. If you cant pull in this area with a nice car like the four and the money to support it, then ive got all chance i dont want to have to resort to online dating too

It's not that mate. I'm out of the country 50% of the time. I don't have time to actually meet people.....

...besides, the last girl I picked up in the car described it as, and I quote;
"An utterly ridiculous car"

(Thanks Lorraine)

And actually, thinking about it, if a woman decides to date me on the basis of what I drive, they're usually not worth dating in the first place.

I only started the thread for a laugh. That picture usually gets a few.

Considering doing it for a bit of fun, no more. I don't know what country I'll be in next week most of the time, so meeting people is not the problem. Meeting them more than once is.....

So Mr E - you have been dumped, so you turn to an on-line chat room about CARS to discuss ON-LINE dating and you put on a picture of yourself looking like a TOSSER. The word 'LOOSER' comes to mind!!

Touch harsh perhaps.

This is the pie and piston old boy. I had the same conversation down the pub with a couple of mates, and they pretty much wet themselves laughing at the picture.

Loser? Perhaps. An amusing one though.

Mr E - what I don't get is if you don't have time to go out and meet someone the usual way, why do you think it will be any better with online dating? You still have to go out and meet them for real like! It can be quite time consuming to be honest, especially when you're 'multitasking'....

Because at least then I'm meeting people I know are looking (or at least say they're looking) as well. Otherwise you spend ages chatting to a really nice young lady who is then picked up by her husband*.

*at least that's what they tell me
