Chavvy neighbors - final straw
Discussion
After being kept up until around 5am, and asking twice for the chavvy kids next door to at least close their bedroom window if they are going to shout, scream, play loud crap music and stuff - I have just submitted a nuisence noise application form to the council offices.
Any idea what happens now? Do they contact me first or the neighbors first?
I have asked more than three times politely for them to keep it down and all they do is say "yeah sorry mate", close the window for 20 mins then open in and carry on. Language was enough to make me blush from what I heard and Im not exactly a saint!

I'm interested in this too since I've just had a new guy move in to the flat below me and he and his mates play the most god awful music at obscene volumes way into the little hours. I've asked him to keep it down and he does for the remainder of that night, but then next night it's back to the same levels. I'm talking cups rattling on my coffee table at 3 in the morning. His music heard in my flat is louder than I would feel comfortable playing from my own hi-fi during the middle of the day!
He seems like a bit of a scumbag so am a bit concerned about getting councils and police involved since I could easily see trouble starting, cars being keyed and so on.

To be honest mate you are on your own! We had druggies playing music for 3am onwards, Needles around the bins. Doors smashed in. Fighting. It was HELL!! The bastards were so bad we had a police escort off the estate. Police cannot do sod all as all their powers have been took off them, council could not give a toss. I had a nervious breakdown over it and the wife now has a ulserated mouth brought on by stress. so I know what you are going through. The council will sort the problem out but it will take upto a year, yes by all means keep making a diary but their hands are tied, the only way they can evict is via court order (mainly incase you are just ganging up on them etc). The best thing to do like us is just keep pestering them (council) until they are sick of you. Also contact your doctor as medical reasons are a good plus point. But in the end you will be the one that moves, as we were told by the council "it is easier to move you than them". As per usual the lowlife scum always wins, I expect they have thier own social worker, on benifits and are "disabled", sorry you lose
(I am assuming you are council)

Good news -
I rent this house so i really couldnt give a flying one about disputes.
Landlady came round today to do a routine inspection and decides that she wants to sell the house as there is too much work that needs to be done to get it up to scratch (new carpets, radiator etc...).
I am paying too much rent here anyway but now she has advised me she is selling it kind of takes away the awkwardness of it all.
Yay! Im free soon
I can put up with it for a couple more months. lived with it for this long and usually they are scared shitless of me

Don’t forget to leave them something to remember you by
Well top marks go to my mate Gary who said this
"Butter some bread and start throwing it through the open window. You can be damn sure that the bread will always land butter side down thus really annoying them when it lands"

i wondered about creating a device that taps on the floor (their ceiling). these people have to sleep at sometime - eg while you are at work. so you just leave this device tapping once every 4 seconds.
