Could be up for the meet but I usually start work at 3pm on a Sunday. I'm not too far from Risca so could still make it!

Sorry for the crap quality pictures.
This is my 1988 Ti16 Turbo, recently had a new turbo, radiator, intercooler, performance air-filter, cold air induction kit and full Maptun performance exhaust.
It goes, and sounds, incredible.
Toying with selling, but also toying with having it decked out in full 1980s rally livery
ooooh, lovely, bags first dibs. Had my 9000 taken to stage 2, mentalThis is my 1988 Ti16 Turbo, recently had a new turbo, radiator, intercooler, performance air-filter, cold air induction kit and full Maptun performance exhaust.

Damn the photo size limit. All my best pics are just over 2mb. Anyway, here's my pride and joy.
1997 manual aero with stage 2 ecu, abbott exhaust, poly bushes and engine mounts, new springs and shocks, new beefed up clutch and flywheel, gearbox rebuild, toyo proxys all round. Loads of other bits and bobs done to it.
My general observation is that the car drives better the faster i go. Its not great at low speeds and really does egg you on. My dads standard car is much more refined but completely numb when you want to move quickly.
The abbott exhaust is too loud really. Wouldnt have another one. Any alternative recommendations very welcome.
Not sure where I am going with this post - except to say I think the Kilen/Bilstein suspension on the 900 is going to go for some standard OEM T16S springs for a bit more ground clearance. So many scrapes with the sumpguard on country lanes Could enjoy the MX-5 more than I enjoy the TVR, probably due to the relative values of them...
Re: exhausts - had a JT 3" drainpipe fitted to the 900 a few years back and it makes a great sound and the turbo certainly spools more quickly, but it is a bit incessant on the motorway. If/when it rots off I'm tempted to get a custom s/s one made up. There's a guy on PH with a Morgan Aero 8 who got a custom exhaust fabricated at a place in Brixton that he reckoned they made to his exact requirements (loud when you want it, subtle burble at idle, quiet at "normal" revs. Probably pricey though!

Agreed. The Abbott exhaust is quite loud. Not got one myself, but the 900 they gave me as a loan car had one. Was great round those country roads they have outside, not so much turning every head in the street in a peaceful coastal town...
I do get some funny looks at times. The noise doesnt go with the Saabs image. I would ideally like less noise without sacrificing performance. HannsG said:

Had to get rid of our 2006 Sportwagon as my severely arthritic left ankle doesn't like operating clutches any more. So had to go for an auto - back to Cumnor and snapped up this one which had only come in a short while the day I decided to look to see what they had. (I was a road test away from getting an Octavia, Lauren and Klement with lots of toys, but the floods on the Abingdon Road in Oxford by the Skoda dealership closed it and for the hell of it I looked on Sytner's website)
It is standard and therefore nothing special but it is a joy to drive, especially with the caravan on - get on the open road, stick it in cruise at 65 (allowing for speedo error officer....) and away we go. Please note that these are the pics from the dealer website. Since taking delivery I have corrected the alignment of the front number plate.
