Some of you will know Terry Flatt who raced with Alex Frick in Britcar until 2007/8. (Honda Civic & before that a VR6 Beetle) Also, he drove the safety car in a Silverstone race once .... that is perhaps a story for another day!
I am saddened and shocked to tell you that Terry has been experiencing some symptoms during the last month & he has just been diagnosed with a serious brain disease. The disease is incurable so there is nothing doctors can do for him.
If you did know him and are able to say a few words on here, I'll make sure he sees it.
NB. Some of you will know him well and may wish to make contact. PM me on here and I will give you his wife Jackie's email address. For now, he is not in a position to reply to his own emails or speak on the phone.
I would add that Terry has been a good friend to me since we shared a car in the 2008 B24, he encouraged my interest in 24hr racing and we did the Barcelona 24h race together in 2011. In 2012 he came with me for the Dubai 24hr race. He is excellent company, very knowledgeable about all things racing and has a dry sense of humour which never failed to entertain me. A true friend and a kindred spirit.

I am so,so, sorry to hear about Terry and must offer my condoloncies to his family and friends-
Over the years we raced in Britcar(in separate teams)and of all the people in the pitlane Terry was always a pleasure to talk and banter with.
To have lost him so early is truly a tragedy-it just goes to show we must all live for the today we have- Jon H.

Sue and I remember Terry well from our Super Coupe Cup days in the late 90s. Terry was a friend of Tim Munday who ran my Polo G40, and he often dropped by for a cup of tea and a chat
I also had a couple of entertaining shifts with him in the Safety Car at the Britcar 24 hour race a few years back
We are both very sad to hear of his untimely demise and would like to say to Terry's family how sorry we are to hear about his premature passing.
