Hi Graham, Thanks very much for your support, i will certainly give you a shout, I was thinking about leaving this post on for several weeks to see what response i get. So far in the last 24 hours i have had 6 people interested in doing a run, as you can imagine it would be great to have a good number of cars, so if you could pass on to as many people as you know that may be interested and i will keep renewing this post so it stays near the top of the forum page.
I havent really thought of where or when as of yet!! Maybe you could help me with that, but thought a run out and then stop at a nice pub, (with a large car park!!) for a drink and good food if people want to eat!! How do you think that as a start of a plan sounds??? Chris

I have a fondness for the Red Lion at Winfrith Newburgh but god knows I'm no gourmet or pub expert. I'm sure better people than me have ideas.
I guess the route depends on where most people are travelling from. If it was me deciding, I'd take in some of the classic bits of Purbeck, or include zig zag hill, the B3081 near Cranborne, or the coast road heading west from Chickerell and possibly Portland. But I'm aware most runs have included these so maybe people want something fresh.
Also, need to decide how long it'll be - I doubt many people will want an all-dayer. Might be best to keep to a couple of hours then end with a stop at a pub if people want to eat.
I know a bit about Dorset and have driven around most of it - I'd be happy to write some incidental info about places the route runs past to give some background.

For everyone interested in coming on the run out, I thought how about the Sunday 18th February? It gives a few weeks notice and hopefully by then the weather may be a 'little' bit better!! Also thought that if the weather on the 18th is awful then we could put it off to the following sunday 25th February? I shall in the next few days sort out a meeting point and where we will end up etc.. Thanks Chris
