Sounded like a Tiv though...
Thats what made me turn round and look at the tv. I recognised the sound.

I stand corrected. Ah well, at least iv learnt something today

That would be very strange, there are only a handful of TVR's in Australia. Although they did sell Chimera's officially for a short time.
I remember another time a few years ago I saw an advert for neighbours, which interested me only because it had a drag race featured and one of the guys was driving an 80s Camaro IROC-Z, again an unusual car in Australia (other car was an R33 Skyline, which is a typical car for that sort of thing). It think neighbours is set in Victoria, and both kids would have been p platers, so it would have been illegal to own a car that powerful anyway.
