We have a salvage yard next to my office, On Friday a silver Sagaris was bought in, really pranged, Obviously a right off... Wish I had the camera with me....
If it was yours, just wanted to say sorry, it must be so sad, and to hope that you are OK....

Doesn't look too bad from that angle. I mean, how much chance does one stand that a new one is ever going to be built again?

Quite a good one, I would say. Mike Penny is currently trying to recruit ex-TVR workers to finish off the part-built cars in Bristol Avenue. According to an extremely reliable source there are 44 cars in the factory ranging from rolling chassis to nearly finished units, of which the majority are Sagaris.

Given my unfortunate experiences, the exterior damage indicates a hell of a lot of chassis etc damage out of sight.
The exterior "springs back" into the rough outline shape of the car, but the impact will have taken it well inside the boundary of "limited" damage. In other words looks a lot better than it actually is.

I would have to disagree , judging by the exhaust can , rear quarterlight and position of rear wheel , I would say there was no chassis damage to the rear . On the front the wheel might have gone back but it is hard to see because it is turned . In my experience , although there is always more damage that you can not see , they normally "look " worse than they are . David

Its repairable, but it'll be a costly repair to an extent that I dare not even estimate

(although 20k wouldnt be far out )

T'is a shame that so many TVR's end up this way

Why is Mike Penny allegedly trying to recruit workers to finish the Sagaris' that half built at the former factory?

Who is going to buy one? A main dealer has a new one for sale at £53,920.00.

Another dealer has a 2006 one with 950 miles on the clock for £39,995.00. Another dealer has a 2006 one but with 1380 miles for the same price.

I cannot imagine that there is going to be a queue of people who are prepared to lose almost £14,000.00 in less than a year and 950 miles. That is almost 26% depreciation.

It's better to sell at 45/40K than never sell at all,It's some way of recouping money for the factory. Or just scrap them.
