That sounds more hopeful

Would it be the 135R that you would be interested in?

See if you can mail me via the add in PH classifieds with some contact details and I'll see what we can do, failing that, give John Willis a call and I'll brief him

The 111S is far quicker than a NA VX220 though ...

... the standard Elise slower

VX220 turbo quickest
111S is quicker to 60, but (having played around in an S1 111S) it's not any faster than my VX was. The NA VX can't hit 60 in 2nd, which makes it's performance on paper look worse than it is. They're about the same to 100, I think, and the NA VX has a higher top speed so you get decent acceleration at higher speeds than in the Elise. For the money he's looking at, he's well into VXT territory - should be very easy to pick up an 03 plate, possibly something slightly newer if he finds a dealer who's keen.

Well, indeed, but they were 5k cheaper to buy in the first place. A new NA VX could be had for just under 20k fully loaded, with only minor haggling required.

The cheapest VXs (X/Y reg) are currently selling for 12k or so, 14-15k for an 51/02 reg one. 5k loss over 2 years? Not too criminal.

The NA VX has quite a smooth torque curve though, so doesn't feel that fast.

The VXT is just silly fast, as is the fact you can get ~240bhp for an extra £500.
