Ace run guys, many thanks for your time.
Amazing how quickly cars can get dirty! I'm sure you noticed too!
Good pace Zeb, absolutely spot on. I can't believe the sun was out for us like that - Perfect!
Let me know if you want to do it again anytime. I'm up that way pretty often, especially when the sun's out.

How noisey did mine sound when you were following it, Steve? Amazing how quickly cars can get dirty! I'm sure you noticed too!

Great question!
for the first mile i thought it must have zeb's making that noise but i soon realised it was yours!
It is definately very loud, i could hear yours over mine! I guess you saw the peopel on the hills turning to watch us, your's definately caught their attention!
You can tell you've got a short power band in it though, you we're chnaging gear an awful lot. In hindsight though i don't know if that was to keep it at the right revs or just to make more noise!
I seemed to keep up with you on the straights when we floored it which was pleasing. were you foot to the floor through the gears on the straight bits?
Most interestingly for me was that during the spirited run, the temp ran at it's lowest yet! A steady 91c when I was giving it plenty, normal A road driving at 60 usually has it 92-94!
Whilst touching wood, i reckon the gasket's OK. I'll be taking out the AA warrant though, just in case! That does mean the £500 put aside for gasket is being spent on some nice black 111s wheels though!
cheers for now.

I noticed that you were keeping up with me, which to be honest, was a bit disappointing considering the cams I've got. The reason I think is due to having absolutely fr*g all low down torque, and all the power being right at the top of the rev band. Considering this is meant to be my everyday car, I'm not too pleased about bouncing it off the rev limiter at every opportunity, hence normally changed about 6k. Think I may have seen the red light 2 or 3 times! So to answer your question, yes, I was foot to the floor on the straights, but not all the way up to the red line.
I am desperate to get it on a rolling road and see what power it is producing, and where it is producing it as I don't think it feels hugely faster than standard. The biggest difference is, the car is pulling like a train up at the red line, where before it was like it was starting to struggle to breath about 6k.
Re the gear changes, due to there being absolutely nothing below 3k, and then a massive whole in the power/ torque at 3.8k, I am constantly on the gears to keep it above that, then like I said above, I was changing gear at 6k ish, so ay, changing gear a lot!
Didn't see those people on the hills no. I was too busy trying to peer through the gap in the mud on the windscreen. The wiper/ jets seem to miss a patch right in my line of sight, so you may have seen me blasting away with my washers quite a lot. I've tried adjusting them numerous times, but they just never seem to be able to stay quite right. m not sure whether the noise is exhaust or induction, or a mixture of both. I cant hear the exhaust for the induction roar!

Well it's pleasing for me but obviously annoying for you! Yours definately sounds better though, the noise from behind is definately exhaust not induction.
I'm sure you need the ECU sorting and you'll get a massive gain. Get the set-up right and you'll get more than the sum of the parts you've added.
I had the same problem with dirt on the windscreen. The jet didn't get high enough up to clean my line of sight. It only jets high enough at low speed, at high speed it gets blown by the wind. Tricky one, i guess a bit higher for me is the compromise.
