Just thought I'd say well done to Bell and Colvill for holding such a good open day yesterday. I not only got to chat to Dave Minter for ages, but he also accompanied me on my test drive! The barbeque was also gorgeous! I went back three times It was also good to see the Esprits, the 49, the Elan and the race prepped Europa.

I took along three friends, one of whom has just finished saving up for a Boxster S, and I think they may have been converted!

Rob what time were you there? I popped in yesterday to arrange for a bit of warranty work and then got chatting to Richard et al.

The other half lined up a test drive of a Scooby so we went back today and found out the demo Exige S had an off this morning.

Apart from that I thought the days were great - I loved the yellow Esprit under the tent canvas.

It WAS their demo car before someone (apparently used to FWD) hit some standing water on a test drive and put it through a hedge, into a field and came to rest against a tree.

I'm really looking forward to driving the Europa, from what I've heard from people that have driven the car it is supposed to be very, very good.

The power is very smooth and linear from low down in the rev range and it still feels and handles as a Lotus should but with a nod towards extar refinement and usability. I also think that in the Glacier Blue it looks really very good so look forward to getting the first cars through.

I can't wait to get my demo..........
