Interesting but the repeated comment about a "three-dimensional" spoiler is irritating. We'd all be sh*t out of luck if it was "two-dimensional"!

At least it's something to trade-up to in the future.

hmm - looks more like a development of the cadena cars. Love the gaffer tape blanking off the outer intakes on the front...

That's because it is in fact a picture of one of the Cadena race cars at Paul Ricard last year

They haven't released any photos of the road version yet.

It's a £60K Exige with less power than a supercharged Honda or VAG Turbo...make your own mind up

and more weight ...so its probably as fast as sticking an NA Honda in your car

...I like the wide rear end and 255 rubber ....but it has got me thinking, with 195 up front and 255 rear, they must have tinkered with the rest of the setup somewhat to stop it from understeering like a pig

..now if this was the Cup car etc and £45K, it would be a bargain ...but £60K....they are having a laugh ...no doubt theres plenty of Lotus fans out there that will just snap them up to have the latest thing, and then they will be good 2nd hand buys - I cant see them staying up in the £50K range for long ! ..the market will speak i guess

Hmm....

- bloddy expensive
- air cooled supercharger -> meh
- drive-by-wire (no thanks)
- don't like the single air-intake at the front
- I sort of prefer the look of the std wing better...

...

BUT:

God, is that rear clam shell sexy. Love the air-vents for the breaks on the side!

I wonder if this would fit on a std Exige S2 as well? Will have to ask on Tuesday in Geneva...

Phil, get us some decent pictures and try and have a look at how they have widened the rear track?? Is it new wishbones or something more??

Looking forward to seeing and hearing what you find out!

Definately time to fit a decent intercooler to my car I'm thinking!

Yep, will do. I'll be there next Tuesday (anyone else going to be there then?) and will find out as much as I can. I'll be taking my DSLR, so pictures will follow as well!

I think they are in for a tough time here though, even I am thinking the price is too high... if it's £50-60k which with a cage and lotus 'extras' it's bound to be on the highest end, then it's only £2k less than I paid for the GT3RS...

Now however much I love Lotus and the cars, fighting in the Porsche GT3/RS territory is getting very dangerous for them.

If it's making me squirm as someone who must be the target customer.... (more money than sense most of the time ) then what hope have they really got?

they talk about 255 rear tyres in the press release but to my eye the rears look way too narrow for that rather max power rear end.

I like the simplification at the front, i never liked the indicators on my Exige. But the rear looks like the bodywork is a bit fast n furious looking whilst the rear diffuser area looks very motorsports...doesn't quite work for me....not sure.

Hopefully looks better in the flesh....
