The Clio driver gets a bit annoyed towards the end as he feels the race track belongs to him.

I thought the etiquette was to move over if someone is clearly quicker and chewing your arris?

The Clio seemed to have the upper hand in those damp conditions and seemed a bit quicker in a straight line?

Don't think that Clio driver quites gets the idea of a "track day". If you want some space to play then back off for a minute... notice how the video is mislabelled as "race"?

The liz was pulling away on the straight except when the learner (yellow X) Caterham driver was in front of him.

The Clio driver should have been annoyed with the Caterham driver TBH as he should have let both cars past but didn't.

The Clio was clearly quicker, and probably had a better driver.. 2live is quite handy on a track.

Elise should have moved over a long time ago

Never done a track day myself, but I thought you were supposed to let people pass to your right. He could have made it easier for him as the Clio looked like a quicker driver, hitting the corner apexes more consistantly, etc but he seemed to be a bit over aggressive and too easily wound up.

I thought nothing would really touch an Elise on the track?
Considering they were both going for it, i would have thought the Elise would eat the Clio for breakfast.

I got bored with watching that. Whats stopping the Clio from simply driving past? he seems to want to just sit glued to the Clios tail.

I've done a fair bit of spectating at Castle Combe as it's just up the road, so that'll explain that smile

Good to know though.

an accident, if the other driver isn't paying attention and you stick one up the side of them, they're likely to run you off the road.

Well it seems clearly faster but just wants to stick on its rump. I'd have just driven past.

That Lotus was even slower than me and that really is saying something.

Elise driver should have moved over on the back straight where the Clio gained on him hard every lap. Poor etiquette not to IMO.

Agree, the Clio was clearly the quicker car, the elise had plenty of oppotunity to move over and should have.

As a trackday regular I agree that the Clio driver was clearly faster.... give him 2-3 laps and he'd have pulled the length of the pit straight!

Wouldn't say he was driving up the arse of the lotus either.... he was barely 'leaning' on the lotus to let the driver know he wished to pass. whistle

VERY poor behavior Mr 111s...

Quite a good video, but I fail to see where the Clio was quicker than the Elise... The Elise was giving fair way to people he was catching and the Clio was keeping his toe in and catching him... Everytime the commentator was having a go at the Elise he was right behind someone else... At no point was the Clio quicker...

To me, I would see that as two cars having fun on a track day but the Clio pair were clearly not accustomed to any sort of track day etiquette and kept chasing him down when he was stuck behind others...
