I bought a Thinkware Q1000, so far so good.
I've had their U1000 for a couple of years now and can't fault it. I was annoyed by all the announcements when it starts up, but you just set the volume to zero and you don't here them any more.

Do the thinkware ones work from battery power alone and still record motion impacts?
Reason i ask is i have eufy battery cctv at home and i find by the time they’ve triggered and turned on often the event has passed i.e it’ll record somebody leaving the drive but not entering it…

I’ve just started looking for dashcam so apologies for newby questions. Never had one before.

They record a few seconds before the event.

I've also got a Eufy battery camera and the Thinkware is much better at this part.
