Sat Nav Prices?

I bough my first sat nav the other day (just the basic Tom Tom One). I only paid £90.00 for it and I was just wondering why sat navs vary in price so much. I understand that some can be used in more places around the world but surely there must be some other interesting features if you can be paying in excess of £400.00. So basically what is it you’re paying for?
