Had one fitted in the 996 yesterday and so far (Iknow it's early days) it has been a resounding success.

It comes with Blue Tooth and apart from only importing my phone book from the V3, 1 address at a time, it is very good. Nice clear incoming which is through the car speakers, outgoing is also clear I am told, displays callers that are in the address book and mutes the radio etc when on calls.

Sat Nav part works well with voice prompts and although the media softens it does not completely mute so the Nav instructions are not too intrusive. It has a "dynamic" setting which up-dates and re routes you based on Traffic Announcements.

Data in-put is a bit fiddly but I guess I'll get used to things as time goes on. It will take voice commands for all functions so when I get that up and running life should be easier.

Security is via a code plus the left hand control knob clips off and leaves a hole where you clip in a red security tab so it's obvious to the scroates. The knob is small enough to fit in your pocket so no reason to leave it in the dash pocket!!!

I had the matching Becker 6CD interchanger fitted as well so can leave the Nav CD in the single socket all the time and still listen to CD's when I'm putting in new routing instructions.

Best of all it fits perfectly with the Porsche as Becker make the OEM audio. Illumination is more yellow than amber but it really works well in situ and looks just like OEM. Interchanger sits in the Porsche bracket in the boot albeit with heavy duty double sided tape as opposed to bolts. Obviously the Porsche CD interchanger has the bolt holes in different positions. Still looks very neat and very OEM.

When I see how much Porsche CD Changers and standard CD/Radio head units go for on e.pay ie. silly money, it makes good financial sense to me to buy this Becker kit and also have the advantage of SatNav and Bluetooth for not a lot more money.

Some people may not like the limitations of a single din display but it appears to do a great job. OK, so it doesn't show rivers in blue etc but it is very functional and adequate.

So a resounding A+ so far and I'm looking forward to getting more from it than you can in 12 hours.
