1/43 Diecast Collectors - Who else is here?
Discussion
I've not posted in here yet, ill have to get pics when I get home. I've got an almost "complete" collection of 1/43 SEAT Sport WTCC/BTCC/ETCC cars. Out of all the models they made officially I'm missing 1. Then there are quite a lot of ones that have been made since using donor cars and decals.

Pics...Excuse the dust!
So we have WTCC 2005 top shelf, WTCC 2006 next shelf, WTCC 2007 next shelf, WTCC 2008 next shelf, WTCC 2009 next shelf, Then a shelf full of Tom Boardman both WTCC and BTCC, then a big gap before BTCC shelf.
Underneath is another load of SEAT 1:43 that I haven't got shelves for yet and 3x 1:18 WTCC cars. 1 of them is 1 of 5 TCR cars that Tom Coronel had made, a mate of mine has 1 of the other ones of 5.
I'm missing 2009 WTCC Tiago Monteiro.

New arrival today is the 1999 (McRae/Grist number 7) car, I’ve been trying to find one which wasn’t three figures for over 2 years. Not quite the holy grail, there’s a 1999 pre season test livery available too but I’ve only ever seen one of them for sale and it was almost £200!
Bit of a nerdy collection but there’s only 6 left to find now I think, or maybe 7.
Great collection, always loved the Mk1 Focus rally cars and that 1999 model with the protruding rear wing looks superb. Are they all the same brand/manufacturer or different?Bit of a nerdy collection but there’s only 6 left to find now I think, or maybe 7.
I have too many car models of many scales up to 1/8. Around 1999/2000 I subscribed to a Del Prado "Ultimate Car Collection" of 1/43 models. I have the complete set of 70 models with the accompanying magazines. When a delivery arrived I opened each one to examine it and then put it back in its box, and haven't touched them since.
I don't want them anymore and would like to sell as a complete set, not individually. What would be the best way? Thanks for any pointers.

Probably worth looking on ebay to see what they have previously sold for, either as a whole collection or individually. May find that some are worth much more and better to sell individually.
I did post a link to a company that auctions model cars to someone else, can find them if needed, but their commision was pretty high

In my teens Onyx was the most accessible brand, at least for 1:43 F1 cars. I collected 15-20 and for the life of me have no idea what happened to them.
Now, a bit older, I’ve slowly started again with an Ebbro collection, mainly as I’m into my JGTC/Super GT stuff. Minichamps are still decent - I like that you can just happen across one-off F3 cars from specific races.
I picked up the Alpine yesterday from a shop in Chester. I wasn’t really after anything like that, but seeing them in front of you in a physical store does mean it’s tricky to leave empty-handed. Not sure of the make actually, seems to be unbranded.

Well made and very reasonably priced and a huge portfolio.
The F1 series has some wonderful oddballs too, like the 82 Tyrrell 011 in blue (plain) livery or the 82 Alfa 182, you get them either as quite old and not very good white metal kits or not at all...
lovely models, I was also very happy they came in 2022 or 2023 with those new ones in Yellow and orange, looking great, i the past I owned 5 of those 3 yellow 2 orange, so I bought them immediately, was looking for those for my once owned collection now in 1/43.
Now I'm waiting for the red Fiat X1/9 1500 bertone version (big bumpers and wider engine hood?), since last year they came with such version in blue, so I guess the red will also come soon... then I finally get all my 5 Fiat X1/9 in 1/43 I only owned 1 Bertone 1500 all others were 1300.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a bespoke model maker working in 1:43? I've tried Code3Models but they don't respond to emails or answer the phone. I'd like a model 750s spider but there isn't one. I'm planning to try adapting a TSM 765LT combined with the interior from a Solido 720 coupe, but I'm not convinced my skills are up to it.

This is incredibly niche and perhaps not as exciting as some of the race, rally and classic car models on here, but I figured if there was going to be anyone to appreciate this like I do they'd be on here!
It's a mk1 Clio model that was given out at an event to celebrate the launch of the car, which was a Clio treasure hunt hosted by Anneka Rice. I'm a bit of a Renault nerd and a mk1 Clio was my first car, so it's an interesting bit of Renault history that I'm not sure I'd be able to come across again!
It's also re-ignited my interest in these smaller models, they're generally more affordable than the larger scale ones (and easier to store/display) so here are some photos of a couple from my childhood I still have - I do appreciate the Laguna has some wear (a bit of sticker peel and the aerial has gone), but considering I have memories of getting it out the box to play with, it's held up very well!
