P4/5 Competizione
Very, very few made - hand built in Belgium. Very expensive too, considering its Modificata edition just became historic (first hybrid car ever to complete a 24H race), I reckon this will be my most special scale model in many years to come!
Stunning. Expensive or very expensive?Very, very few made - hand built in Belgium. Very expensive too, considering its Modificata edition just became historic (first hybrid car ever to complete a 24H race), I reckon this will be my most special scale model in many years to come!
Well, very expensive IMHO of course. 350 €. My second most expensive model is an AutoArt Porsche Carrera GT @ about 70 €, so I'm not used to (or want to) paying more than that... But in this case, because I have followed the P4/5 project from day 1 @ FerrariChat.com, went to see it full throttle at @ Nürburgring last year and got a chance to meet the builder of this scale model (I bought it personally from him), it was worth spending so much.
Little more: The maker of these models wanted to make a model of this years P4/5 Competizione Modificata as well, but one of the factories supplying parts went bankrupt, so it did not happen.
My own pictures of the real car @ Nürburgring:

Very very nice model (carbon is such a pain to replicate well in 1:43), but didn't the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid finish the 2011 race?Red Firecracker said:

You are right! I asked the same question in the cars/teams official thread on another forum, they thought the Porsche wasn't running in the end - it actually made a respectable 27th place last year!It would have been cool if the 997 GT3 Hybrid also participated this year - a fight between the two would be epic...

Indeed, but Porsche had ejected their toys from the pram over the performance rules, so left their factory supported teams in the lurch somewhat, hence the unusual Manthey liveries. A shame, as you say.It would have been cool if the 997 GT3 Hybrid also participated this year - a fight between the two would be epic...

Very nice!Does anyone know where I can get add-on bits - ie horns, lights, hoses, etc for my Corgi models?

Would love to own a Rc plane, but the fear of crashing and starting again is too great
There are quite a few learner (bouncy) models to choose from. A spitfire would be a 3rd or 4th model after you can fly pretty well, takes a while to learn. Joining a club is the best bet, or try your local model shop. You can also learn the basics on a computer simulator.
