Likewise - although I'll be keeping the Unimog and Excavator for myself for Christmas laugh

I have one Unimog spare all still sealed if any PHer local to Newbury area fancies one - paid £290 in total so happy to sell for a third of that if you can come and collect (this thing is huge!) before sticking it on ebay.
Yes please, YHM smile

My son's 4 and a bit. By the end of the excavator build he could select the parts and build simple sub-assemblies by himself. The only issues he had were that some of the connectors are a bit stiff to put together. Now it's built he's figuring out the remote control system (which is a bit confusing).

Was a great eperience for all involved, and now we have a fantastic 'toy'. Recommended.

Now here's something actually interesting wink.
Actually the GBC's are pretty neat, but this is awesome:

Anyone tried building one of these?

Ouch! at the prices. The V8 looks great but not at that price.

I recently picked up this book and it teaches you plenty enough to build some big engines.

Well you wouldn't actually buy one, you'd get some pneumatic sets (which sets though?) and build your own from the clear photos in that site!

I like it. There is a section which has raised miniature versions of cities of the world. The London has a massive St Pauls Cathedral which has truly silly number of lego bricks in it, but the number escapes me.

Very impressive.

Also bought 100 x 70mm polystyrene balls, although that might of been the wife as I really cant remember adding those!
