Thought I'd try to make a bit of a diorama for this model: got the Eduard PSP diorama base (£2.99):
and scratchbuilt a ladder out of plastic card, brass wire and scrap photoetch:
Then added the Academy Jeep & ammo boxes plus some wheel chocks made out of matchsticks:
Could do with a pilot figure really. Maybe there will be a good one at Telford.
You're just showing off now and scratchbuilt a ladder out of plastic card, brass wire and scrap photoetch:
Then added the Academy Jeep & ammo boxes plus some wheel chocks made out of matchsticks:

Finished it off very nicely

What did you use as the base (under the PSP)?
Just some black card stuck to a plywood offcut. I tried to just use the card with some model railway grass stuck to it for the Tempest I entered in a competition, but the card just warped. I then stuck it to some plywood to stabilise it a bit. I just copied that technique so that the bases looked the same. Going to do one eventually for the Airfix Bf109 (+ Academy Kubelwagen) and the Tamiya Spitfire (which will have the Aires engine detail set added).BTW If anyone wants an Aires cockpit detail set for a 1:72 Tamiya Spitfire Mk1 I've got one spare.
