it came on a control line airplane that i bought on impulse in usa

anyone know what it is and is it worth trying to sell on?

Looks like a Cox .049 with integral fuel tank (.049 is in cubic inches, which works out at about .8cc).
Go for about a tenner on eBay.

It´s a Cox .049, but it doesn´t have the integral tank, they were separate in the fuselage if it´s the range of models I´m thinking of. What you see on the back of the block is the mounting, fuel inlet and carburettor (mines got a tiny gauze filter at the inlet IIRC).

I don´t think it´s worth much.

Yup Cox 049, looks well used & abused as well. WOuld have come off one of the plastic control liners. Probably worth a fiver or so. Used ones frequently need a new reed or the piston to conrod connection repaired.
