Best small RTR boat?
Discussion
We are off on holiday pretty soon and the villa has a pool.
I fancied taking a cheap rtr boat to entertain the boy.
Obviously it has to be small for transporting, not much more than 12" I would guess.
I have had a look on ebay but there is so much chinese tat I'm finding it difficult to sort the ok stuff from the stuff that will fall apart.
Anyone bought any of these cheapo rtr boats?

Boss recently bought a 'Dash II' which he says is brilliant fun for him and his 7 yo son to play with. I think it was around £40 inc. postage online.
What we noticed was that there were some 'copies' out there with the same mould and even the same graphics on the side for about £8 less on the market, I don't know how far the similarities go though.

Thanks chaps, ordered a Magic V and a Magic Cat to go with it.
Don't tell me how you get on! I'm guessing they all come out of the same factory and that the only differences are the boxes 'exclusive to xxx'. That said i did find a reference to some of the newer ones being 2.4ghz radios.Update!
Both boats are very good really. The Cat definitly handles better as the rudder is in line with the prop as it should be whilst the V's one is offset to the starboard side a bit.
Only issue has been with the boy running the V flat out, head on into the poolside a few times which results in the motor/shaft rubber coupling breaking as the motor shunts forward with the impact, a couple of spares supplied though.
I'm very happy with them but can't help thinking they are a shade steep at just shy of 50 quid each.
It has got me thinking of upsizing though
