Due to being out of work- hopefully changing next week finally- I have been using some spare time helping out an old dear in the village- cutting lawns, gardening and the like.
Called in this morning, and she presented me with this:

I've got the Ultrafly version: very twitchy! If this one is anything like it, I'd suggest putting 50% rates on all controls! Very good fun once you're used to it though.Called in this morning, and she presented me with this:

Just had a successful first flight and....
Superb!!
Very stable, plenty of poke- enough to pull out of an attempted prop hang- good glide and not too bad at a slow speed!
Not an amazing roll rate, but I'm more used to self built foam profile types, so it wouldn't compete.
More importantly, looks lovely

Great! Did you use rates, or was it full deflection controls? Mine is quite twitchy in pitch becasue it has a short moment arm from the wing to the tailplane.Superb!!

No rates.
I used my pkanet 2.4 set- which is bloody good value as receivers are only £15 each- and off I went.
It needed a lot of down elevator to trim, which was strange considering it has a set location for the battery.
Still, landed, adjusted a little elevator so I wasn't at the extent of trimming, back up and love it!
Better still, I think you can buy the bare frame for around 50 quid and stick your own setup in it, so with a more powerful motor it should be a right laugh!!
